Mai Ali

Mai is PhD Candidate at the Edward S. Rogers Department of Electrical Engineering at University of Toronto. Her research interests are in the area of applications of machine learning in healthcare. Mai is passionate about promoting stem education among unprivileged communities, for this reason she started her own non-profit, AI1010, through which she teaches the basis of AI & ML to students in Africa. She received the IBET momentum fellowship in 2021.

Reading, exploring new cultures, and travelling around the world are her most favorite hobbies.
